Meet eren Turner, M.A., lpc-s
Let’s Talk.
I’m a Texas-based therapist with over two decades of experience helping people move past challenges and better handle the road before them.
I believe we all have the capacity to grow and change, allowing us to understand ourselves better and become who we desire to be. I love walking this path with others and seeing the transformation that occurs.
please hear this:
Seeking help isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a testament to your strength.
At the core of my approach is collaboration in helping you gain your own insights as you move closer to the future you want to create.
I’m Eren Turner, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (Texas License #60526), and I’ve been helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges since 2003. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University and have since built a diverse mental health career across private practice, non-profit, and school settings.
I work with both adolescents and adults, offering individual, couples, and family counseling. My style is integrative. I am trained in a variety of modalities, which enables me to tailor my approach to each individual client. I am EMDR trained and IFS informed, and I also incorporate other evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and the Gottman Method to support healing and growth. (Click on my Methods page to learn more about each of these modalities.)
In addition to my clinical work, I am an approved LPC Supervisor and have been training associate counselors since 2009, seeing nearly two dozen LPC associates through the licensure process.
My areas of interest include life transitions, trauma recovery, self-esteem, struggles with faith, and family dynamics. I am LGBTQIA affirming and am committed to making my office a safe, inclusive space where all clients feel seen, heard, respected, and supported.
Therapy with me is…
01 comfortable
Counseling is not easy - it can be intimidating to step in a new place and open up about difficult experiences and emotions. I recognize this and strive to make my office a safe place where you can feel comfortable sharing whatever you have been carrying. As my hero Fred Rogers said, “Anything that's human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable."
02 Trustworthy
Counselors are held to a strong ethical standard of safeguarding information shared by our clients. Your confidentiality is of utmost importance to me. I recognize that clients oftentimes share with me things they do not readily discuss with others, and I do not take that trust lightly. My office is a space where shame dissipates as truth is spoken.
03 Introspective
Counseling helps provide insight and allows you to think about circumstances in a way that you might not have considered. Changing how we think impacts how we respond, which can make a significant difference in how we act and interact with others.
04 Individualized
Each person is unique, which means counseling needs to be personalized as well. I work to customize each session to your specific needs. As we get to know each other, we will work together to create an environment tailor-made for your healing and growth.
